Children’s Health℠ continually strives to improve the experience of the patients and families we’re so privileged to serve, driven in large part by a steadfast commitment to innovation and creative solutions. In that spirit, we’re proud to have become the first pediatric health system in the country to offer Amazon Lockers.

Implemented in direct response to feedback from our Family Advisor Network, this important amenity connects the families of hundreds of children who receive inpatient care at Children’s Medical Center Dallas each month with access to Amazon.com products, providing a sense of normalcy and control amid the often stressful, uncertain circumstances of a child’s hospital stay.

We’re thrilled to share this significant service with our patients and families, one of the many ways we’re working across our system to improve every moment of the health care journey with unique amenities, updated facilities and streamlined processes.

How do I use the Amazon lockers?

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, Lockers ensure our team members and patient families can safely and conveniently access online orders – a benefit that has proved even more valuable in light of COVID-19, as many of us became increasingly reliant on online shopping to obtain essential items.

To use an Amazon Hub Locker, follow these simple steps:

1. Shop at Amazon as usual. Add items to your basket and proceed to checkout.

2. Find the Children’s Health Locker. Search for "1935 Medical District Dr" and select "1935 Medical District Dr, Dallas, Texas, United States." Under "Amazon Hub Locker - Haste," click the box under "Not a public location," and then click "Add to address book."

3. You’ll receive a barcode and numeric code from Amazon via email or text once your package has been delivered.

4. Scan your barcode or enter your numeric code at the Locker to collect your package.

How do I use a Locker?

To use an Amazon Hub Locker as your shipping destination, find the Children’s Health Locker and add it to your Amazon address book. Then, during checkout, select the Children's Health Locker as your shipping address.

Once your package has been delivered, Amazon will email you a barcode and unique six-digit code. Simply visit the Children's Health Locker and scan the barcode or enter the code on the Locker's touchscreen, then remove your package after the Locker's door opens. The Locker process is incredibly intuitive and clearly outlined when placing an order on Amazon.com. There are also detailed instructions located at the Lockers, and in a how-to video that plays at the Lockers. A dedicated support line is available at 1-877-346-6244 for users to troubleshoot any issues.
